Sajin and I worked closely across multiple projects at Material, where he served as Assistant Director—Design. He’s that rare leader who lifts both the work and the people doing it. He managed the team and projects with calm clarity, brought in new projects by earning client trust, and even revived dormant accounts by reframing the problems we could solve. His passion for design and problem‑solving shows up in the details—crisp briefs, thoughtful critiques, and a steady focus on outcomes.
Just as important, he builds genuine one‑on‑one relationships. In a short time he created real bonds across the team, mentoring thoughtfully, giving credit freely, and creating space for people to grow. Beyond being an outstanding manager, he’s a mentor, collaborator, and friend. As he’s now left to build his startup, I’m excited to see what he creates next—and I’d jump at the chance to work with him again.
